What does PEB-Talk stand for?

PEB-Talk represents a platform the exchange on the topics of Purpose, Equity and Belonging. More and more companies discover how essential it is to define their own Purpose, develop an equitable business model and to create a feeling of belonging for employees. Cultural change requires companies to adjust to a new world in which they must proof consistently that they are still relevant for their consumers who expect them to be ethical and sustainable in the way they conduct business. PEB-Talk supports your organization to do so successfully. 

Purpose

Purpose describes a higher reason for a company to conduct business beyond mere profit generation. Nowadays, organizations are measured on how they contribute to protecting the environment, creating societal change and fostering social justice.  

Equity

Equity aims at creating fairness for everyone and it's important to consider that equity is not the same as equality. The concept of equity considers the individual and is based on the understanding that people have a different starting point in order to succeed. 

Belonging

Belonging, the feeling to be connected to something, is a prerequisite for employees in order to set up high-performing teams, which ultimately contribute largely to a company's success. In external-facing messaging Purpose & Equity need to be aligned to ensure a feeling of belonging can be created within the organization.

To remain competitive, organizations will need to adjust constantly to changing consumer expectations. Research has shown that Gen Z consumers put a lot of emphasis on Purpose and Equity. 68% of Gen Z say they expect companies to create social value beyond their core business operations. 

Why did I found PEB-Talk?

A few years ago, I realized that there must be a greater purpose than working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day without generating any social added value. While exploring some options, I discovered for myself that there are possibilities to create a positive change within my own job in the company, which allows companies to create a social added value and still operate profit-oriented.   

 

Through my experience in the field of employee resource groups, diversity, equity & inclusion as well as diversity marketing and purpose marketing, I would like to support other organizations in optimizing their own purpose activities in order to be a positive catalyst for society.
